Split the car, not a private server

Backseat Rally 2 Player and Co-op

One of you drives. The other calls. You can swap after the stage. You cannot buy a private server for the two of you.

The Games API sets max players to 8 and createVipServersAllowed to false.

Invite into your car

  • Join the same server. If they are not in it, use the Invite friends tile and the + first.
  • Driver opens the garage with C, picks a car, then CO-DRIVER → INVITE.
  • Choose the player and Spawn + invite.
  • They accept the invite card and should see a co-driver notice.

Voice

Human calls need voice chat and the sound on. A voice volume of 0 looks like a broken co-driver. Cross-play invite details for Xbox, PlayStation, and mobile are not documented by the developer, so this page does not promise every platform can invite every other.

FAQ

Can we play in a private server?

No. The Games API disables VIP servers for this experience. Use a public server of up to 8 players.

The seat still says RALLY BOT.

An unanswered invite leaves the AI in the panel. Have your friend accept the card, then look for the co-driver notice.
